SEO Ranking Tools-Find Your Competitor's Rankings
A couple of very useful SEO ranking tools for your browser.
Seoquake is available for both Firefox and IE. It gives stats either in a toolbar or a thin faded bar at the top of the page you are visiting. The stats are also displayed on the serps pages underneath all the domain as well so you have a quick overview of the competion.
- Google pagerank
- Google serp position
- Yahoo inbound links
- Alexa rank,
- site age
- whois link
- keyword density
- MSN position
and other useful information. Seoquake also appears faster because it’s not pulling as much data as the Seobook tool.
The Seobook SEO plug in is for Firefox only. The purpose of this tool is to give a general overview or picture of the competition before going into a market by looking at the SEO data for all the organic listings in a Google or Yahoo serp page. Since the tool goes out and digs data for all the sites listed it can take a while to see all results. You may want to set the serp results to 10 or 50 listings per page.
Here are the features:
- PR: (Google PageRank)
- Age: age pulled from Archive.org, shows the first time a page was indexed by Archive.org’s spider.
- Links: (Yahoo! linkdomain)
- .edu Link: (Yahoo! .edu linkdomain )
- .edu Page Link: (Yahoo! .edu link )
- .gov Link: (Yahoo! .gov linkdomain )
- Page Links: (Yahoo! link)
- del.icio.us:
- Technorati: an estimate of the total number of links to a site from blogs
- Alexa:
- Cached: (Google site:) shows how many pages from a site are indexed in Google
- dmoz:
- Bloglines:
- dir.yahoo.com: is a site listed in the Yahoo! Directory or not.
- WhoIs:
A strong caveate when using these tools is to use them sparingly!
